The Lake Committee has released its spring water quality report, and the results are encouraging. Secchi disk readings show improved clarity compared to last year, and phosphorus levels remain well within the target range for healthy freshwater ecosystems.
The improvements reflect a combination of factors: reduced shoreline runoff, regular maintenance of the natural buffer zones, and the ongoing invasive-species management program. The committee also credits residents who have followed no-wake zones and kept fertilizers away from the shoreline.
"The lake is a shared responsibility, and these results show that our collective efforts are working," said lake steward James Ortiz.
